Doug Fernandez, Founder & President

Doug Fernandez founded Fernandez Designs & Builders in 1985, and the firm specializes in residential home designs as well as construction, additions, and commercial buildings.

Doug and his family immigrated from Cuba in 1970. He attended St. Joseph Catholic elementary school,  Archbishop Mitty High School, and West Valley College. Doug had a strong passion for art at a very young age and channeled it into building designs and construction. Doug strives to perfect the art of unique home building. He manages over his personnel, specialty sub-contractors, and several manufacturing vendors. 

Doug has been a long standing member of National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and has been awarded for projects his company has created. Fernandez Designs & Builders Inc. was given a prestigious “COTY” Award (Contractor of the Year), recognized by the building industries and his colleagues.

Spenser Vieira, Chief Designer

Since 1989, Spenser has been creating high quality design plans for Fernandez Designs & Builders.  He has a degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.

He is responsible for all field documentation on design projects, including, site and building measurements, verification of the structural system, and noting any deficiencies that should be addressed during design and construction.

Rosemary Rerich, Office Manager

Rosemary is the chief organizer of Fernandez Designs & Builders, helping keep projects organized and customers informed.  She has over 30 years of finance/accounting experience along with 15 years in logistics and operations. Rosemary manages all financial, accounting, customer service, and sales orders.

Sophie Fernandez, Office Greeter

Sophie has been a key part of our business by welcoming visitors as they come through out door. She has an impressive track record of approximately 50+ client licks throughout her time with us.
